Our people are experienced professionals – so we don’t need to use our clients as guinea pigs. We're experts, but not geeks: we won’t blind you with incomprehensible jargon, nor try to sell you stuff you don't need. Our complementary skills mean that we can handle most requirements between us, and our small team helps us develop closer working relationships with clients. But if you really do need something we don't have, that's not a problem; we have associations with freelancers and partner companies of proven effectiveness.
Beyond all that, clients tell us we're fun to work with. That's because we enjoy what we do, and get a buzz out of solving your website problems with our solutions.
Neil has over fifteen years' experience of IT, and has worked in ecommerce and web design for more than ten of those. He has built stock control and ordering systems for companies including WH Smith, worked on HMV's first website and was part of the team that built LastMinute.com. His development of Dealernet for ChryslerJeep allowing dealers to create marketing materials online and send them to local newspapers won the "Best use of an intranet/extranet" Award from Marketing Magazine. He has developed similar systems for Mercedes Benz and Vauxhall, and created a hospitality events booking system for PwC.
Expert in all the technologies that websites are built in, he also has extensive knowledge of ecommerce, systems integration and building databases.
Charlie has worked in IT for twenty years, with over ten years' experience in ecommerce and web development. As a business analyst and project manager for the software company Triptych Systems Ltd, his work included developing Bestseller, the leading bookshop management product for independent booksellers in the UK, which was installed in one hundred and fifty sites. He also worked on a customer ordering system for WH Smith: this won the BT Award for innovative use of communications technology. He developed bookpages.co.uk, a website which became the UK's leading online book retailer and was bought out by Amazon.
He is fluent in website development, database design, and payment system skills. He is also an ecommerce consultant, and his clients include Waterstones, Foyles, and Fortnum & Mason.
An expert in graphic design and web development, Martin is also adept at company branding and has a flair for creating eye-catching and creative logos. He's gifted at making advertising materials stand out. Flash animation is another of his specialities – so if you want your website to move, he's your man. Martin is the only one of the team who prefers to be at his Mac rather than a PC (but we don’t hold this against him).
David is a corporate copywriter and communications consultant with over twenty years' experience. He is equally happy working for small companies and start-ups as he is for the UK's largest blue-chip corporations. He has written websites of five pages, and corporate mega-sites of over two hundred pages. He also researches, writes and edits blogs, enewsletters, internal communications vehicles and related material. He has written for the London Stock Exchange, Abbey, the Carbon Trust, Atkins, Canon, Scottish Life and many other clients.
